Changing your mind in public is a sign of strength, not instability.

We treat consistency as a virtue even when it means publicly defending a position we privately abandoned months ago. That is not integrity. That is stage management, and everyone in the room can tell.

Say it plainly: I thought that, I have since seen better evidence, and I now think this. It costs one moment of pride and buys years of accuracy.

The people worth respecting are not the ones who were never wrong. They are the ones who updated quickly and told you why. Nobody trusts a person who has never revised anything.
