Growth

Growth · Growth

Discomfort is the tuition fee for growth.

Every time you feel the discomfort of learning something new, the anxiety of speaking before you are confident, the awkwardness of trying before you are skilled — that is not failure. That is the tuition being paid.

Nobody grows in perfect comfort. The muscle only develops under resistance. The skill only sharpens through repetition. The character only forms under a pressure you did not ask for.

If your life is entirely comfortable, it may be a signal that you have stopped growing. Comfort is pleasant. It is also, over a long enough stretch, a slow kind of decline dressed as arrival.

Lean into what is difficult today. It is quietly making you better.
