Gratitude is the posture of the person who knows where their life comes from.

It is easy to be grateful when things are going well. The test of a grateful spirit is whether it can hold in difficulty. Whether it can find the gift inside the inconvenience.

Whether it can say thank you for the lesson before the lesson is fully learned. Gratitude is not naivety. It is not pretending everything is fine when it plainly is not.

It is the choice to notice what is still good in the presence of what is hard. And that choice rewires how you see everything else, including the parts that have not improved.

In everything, there is still something worth thanking for.
