Gratitude · Faith
There is a kind of praise that has nothing to do with what you received.
Most of our praying is transactional. Request, then thanks on delivery. Requests are welcome and God invites them, but they are not the whole conversation.
Worship is different. It is admiration of someone for who they are, the way you love a person rather than a service. It changes the shape of the whole relationship.
Try a prayer today that asks for nothing at all, then notice what shifts in you. It feels strange for the first minute and unexpectedly clarifying by the third.
You were made for a relationship, not for a transaction desk.
Action
Pray or sit for five minutes today asking for nothing at all.
