Resilience

Resilience · Resilience

You do not have to be okay every day.

There is a kind of exhaustion that comes from performing okayness. Telling everyone you are fine when you are not. Smiling through what is genuinely difficult, in rooms where nobody asked twice.

Pretending the weight is lighter than it is because you do not want to seem weak. That performance costs more energy than the difficulty itself, and it leaves you alone inside it.

But strength is not the absence of struggle. Strength is continuing to move while the struggle is present. Saying a thing is hard is not giving up — it is being honest enough to deal with it.

You are allowed to say: today is difficult. And still keep going.
