Excellence · Career
Your work carries your name whether or not you sign it.
The report you rushed at 11pm still has your fingerprints on it. Somebody will open it in a meeting you are not invited to and quietly decide what you are worth.
Excellence is not perfection. It is the refusal to hand over something you would be embarrassed to defend. Read it once more. Fix the one thing you noticed and hoped nobody else would.
That standard is not for your manager. It is for the version of you who will need this reputation in five years, when a door opens somewhere and someone says your name.
Sign your work before you send it, even when nobody asks you to.
